Layam does not require any service bonds or security deposits at any stage. However, because we manage mandates for over 250+ distinct corporate partners, specific terms depend entirely on individual client policies. Any such requirements, if applicable to a particular company or role, are communicated with absolute transparency prior to the selection process.
Yes, absolutely. For these deployments, candidates are securely placed on our company’s payroll (Layam Payroll) while working at our client locations. We strictly adhere to all government labour regulations and statutory compliance norms.
Depending on the specific deployment model required by the client shop floor, benefits are structured as follows:
- Government Apprenticeship Schemes (NAPS/NATS): Stipends, safety cover, and allowances are fully structured and processed through our payroll according to central apprenticeship norms.
- Regular Contractual Roles: Full statutory benefits—including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and workplace insurance coverage—are managed by us and apply from day one.
Our clients maintain world-class, highly structured, and safe working environments. Because we work across diverse industrial setups, we deploy candidates based on the specific client requirements on the shop floor. For manufacturing and production environments, operations generally run on standard rotational shifts (Shift A, B, and C) as per company policy. The exact timings depend entirely on the assigned client location and role, all of which are clearly communicated to candidates during the selection process.
We have a structured support system in place. Students can immediately report any workplace issues to their designated Layam Onsite Coordinator or Relationship Manager. If the issue requires further attention, it is escalated directly to our central HR and Operations team to ensure a swift, fair, and confidential resolution in coordination with the client management.
Yes. Candidate safety is our top priority. Regardless of the hiring model, all students placed in industrial or manufacturing roles are covered by appropriate workplace insurance policies, such as Workmen’s Compensation or group insurance, ensuring they are fully protected against workplace risks from day one.
Selected candidates receive an official Letter of Intent (LOI) upon completing the selection process, clearly outlining their role, stipend details, and location. This ensures absolute clarity and commitment for both the students and the institution prior to the official joining date.
It depends entirely on the client’s urgency. For immediate business requirements, we can release the Letters of Intent (LOI) on the very same day as the campus drive. For other pipeline requirements, the process is completed and offers are issued within a few working days post-selection.
Selected candidates must complete three standard clearances prior to onboarding:
- College Verification: Confirmation from the institution that they are a bona fide student.
- Medical Fitness: A standard certificate proving fitness for the role.
- Police Verification: A clean background clearance report, which is mandatory for corporate and industrial compliance.
