National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS)
The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is a flagship initiative by the Government of India aimed at providing structured, hands-on training to engineering, technology, and non-engineering graduates. Governed under The Apprenticeship Act of 1961 (amended in 1973 and 2021), this program helps bridge the skill-employability gap by offering real-time industry exposure.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
- Open to engineering graduates, diploma holders, and non-engineering graduates (BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA)
Year of Passing
- Candidates who graduated in 2020 or later (within the last 5 years)
Interstate Mobility
- Candidates from any state in India are eligible
Gender
- Open to both male and female applicants
Age Limit
- 18 to 28 years (candidates above 28 are not eligible)
Training Duration
- 1 year of structured, workplace-based learning

A UGC-recognised undergraduate degree designed for the evolving needs of today’s employers. Unlike traditional degrees, B. Voc prioritises job readiness, flexibility, and practical training over rote learning.
